Alice Hager

NORTH LIBERTY ---- Mrs. Alice Hager, 98, formerly of North Liberty, died at Iowa City Care Center Sunday following a long illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the George L. Gay Funeral Home, where visitation has begun.

Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty.

Mrs. Hager was born Oct. 8, 1879, in Belle Rive, Ill., the daughter of R. G. and Laura Goodner Wall. She married John J. Hager in 1900, at Belle Rive.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church at North Liberty.

Survivors include three sons, Clarence of Nashville, Tenn., Harry of Hanover, Ill., and John Berdell of North Liberty; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Gertie Hager of Poplar Bluffs, Mo., and Mrs. Ora (Nannie) Sexton of Iowa City; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and one brother, Henry Wall of Interlachen, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two daughters, three brothers and one sister.
