Rosalind Kehrer, age 96 formerly of Coralville, died Sunday, September 7, 2003 at the Crestview Care Center in West Branch.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City with the Reverend Judy Gingerich officiating. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until services Wednesday. Memorial donations can be made in Rosalind’s memory to Iowa City Hospice. Rosalind Holub Kehrer was born April 11, 1907 in Iowa City the daughter of Wesley and Rose (Chaloupka) Holub. She was married to Earnest Kehrer until his death in 1946. For many years, she was employed at Burge Hall of the University of Iowa, having many different responsibilities. Rosalind had a passion for art and music, teaching herself both. It was nothing for her to pick up a musical instrument and play a tune, or to paint a piece of art.

Her family includes a son-in-law, Larry Stokes of Coralville; two grandchildren, Tom and his wife, Maureen Stokes of Iowa City, and Peggy and her husband, Richard Saunders of Iowa City; two great-grandchildren, Trisha Stokes of Iowa City and Lori Yoder of North Liberty; and one great-great-grandson, Dylon Stokes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Jean Stokes; brother, Joseph Kehrer; and sisters, Libby Lewis and Elsie Rood.
