Ralph L. Thomason, 43, of 1428 Laurel Street died early this morning at his home of a heart attack.

Requiem high mass will be at 9 a.m. Thrusday at St. Patrick's Church in Iowa City.

The rosary will be recited 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Donohue Mortuary, and burial will be in the new section of St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Mr. Thomason was born Oct. 16, 1923, the son of Ralph and Rena Strub Thomason. He graduated from St. Patrick's High School and attended the University of Iowa.

He married Charlene Smith at Nichols in June 25, 1947, and he was employed by the Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Co. about 19 years. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Church and the Holy Name Society.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, Richard and Mark, at home; his mother; one sister, Mrs. Genevieve Westfall of Iowa City and one brother, Edward of Iowa City.
