Edward W. Thomason, 51, of 517 South Madison Street died today at a local nursing hme after a short illness.

A requiem high mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Chruch, with burial in Oakland Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the Donohue Mortuary, where friends may call afer noon Friday.

Mr. Thomason was born in Iowa City May 28, 1916, the son of Ralph B. and Rena Strub Thomason. He attended St. Patrick's School and was a member of the church.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Westfall of Iowa City, two nieces and three hephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Friends may contribute to the Johnson County Tuberculosis Associaation.
