Agnes Wolters

NORTH LIBERTY – Agnes Wolters, 72, of North Liberty, died at Mercy Hospital Thursday after a short illness.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St Joseph's Church in Hills. Burial will be recited at 8 p.m. Today. Memorial donations may be made to the Mercy Hospital Foundation.

She was born March 11, 1908, in Johnson County, a daughter of Charles and Mary Krall Fountain. She married Herman R Wolters November 4, 1929, in Iowa City.

She was a member of St Martha's Catholic Church in Sarasota, Fla., and was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and the Iowa City Womens Club.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Robert of Iowa City; three daughters, Mrs Mary Ellen (John) Yenter of Oxford, Mrs Cecilia Mae (Al) Jarvis of West Liberty, and Mrs Catherine (James) Albright of Milan, Michigan; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs Ora Walker (sic) of Grinnell, Mrs Elma Gerot of Iowa City, and Mrs Norma Lenz of Washington, Iowa (sic); and one brother, Clinton, of Iowa City.

Five brothers, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter died earlier.

Agnes Fountain Wolters died March 20, 1980. Survivors included Mrs Ora Burge, of Grinnell; and Mrs Norma Lenz of Washington, Illinois.
