Drew A. Shoemaker, 46, of Coralville and formerly of Iowa City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 4-8 pm on Friday, July 15 at Lensing Funeral Home, Iowa City.
Drew was born on January 20, 1965, in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, the son of Glenn D. and Joellen (Moore) Shoemaker. He was a 1983 graduate of Iowa City West High School.
Survivors include his wife Heather, son Tyler, daughter Kelsey, and his mother Joellen, all of Iowa City, a brother G. Del Shoemaker of Camdenton, MO, a sister Jill (Jason) Happel of North Liberty, one niece and three nephews. Drew was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
