Edna K Fountain

Services for Edna K Fountain of Hills, 77, were Wednesday at 2 p.m.at the George L Gay Funeral Home in Iowa City.

Mrs Fountain died Sunday at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City after a long illness. The Rev. Wilbur Wilcox officiated at the services. Burial was in Memory Gardens in Iowa City. Memorial donations may be made to the Hills Community Center or Atrium Village.

Mrs Fountain was born July 14, 1907, in Washington County, Ill, a daughter of Fred and Eleanore Kinzel Seering. She attended schools in Johnson County. She married Leo L Fountain on April 17, 1924, in Iowa City. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Rural Women.

Survivors include her husband, four daughters, Helen Mahan, Laverne (Mrs Chesley) Hansen and Juanita (Mrs Robert) Lovetinsky, all of Iowa City, and Fern (Mrs John) Schintler of Coralville; a son, Paul, of North Liberty; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Eleanor Kindaid of Lone Tree, Ethel (Mrs Guy) Gerot of Riverside, Kathryn (Mrs Robert) Leonard of Oxford and Martha Barnes of Iowa City. Three sisters, two brothers, two grandsons and a great-grandson died earlier.
