James Fountain Funeral Tuesday

Services will be held at 2 p.m for James F Fountain, 72, who died early Saturday at the Iowa Soldier's Home in Marshalltown. Mr Fountain had resided there for the past four years.

Born March 6, 1886, in Johnson county, Mr Fountain was the son of Levi and Alta (sic) Fountain He was married to Anna Wieske Osborn in 1935

The couple had lived in Iowa City and Hills before going to Marshalltown. Mr Fountain was a disabled veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his widow; two step-sons, John Osbonrof Winnebago, Minn., and William Osborn, of Shavil, Minn., three sisters, Della Fountain and Mrs Addie Atkins, both of Iowa City, and Mrs Celia Trout of La Grange, Wyo., and four brothers, Herman and Alonzo both of Iowa City, Stanley of Hills, and Leo of Riverside.

Two brothers preceded him in death.

The Rev. Lowell A Koch, pastor of the Zion Lutheran church, will officiate at funeral services at the Oathout funeral chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens.

James was usually called Frank. He died August 16, 1958
