Irvin Fountain
Irvin A Fountain, 71, of Route 4, Iowa City, died Friday night at Mercy Hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday at Sorden's Chapel in Lone Tree, with Rev Allan Besst officiating. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born March 31, 1905, at Wellman, to Lawrence and Mary Kannott Fountain. He married Mary Walker, who preceded him in death. On September 7, 1960, he married Gertude Feicke at Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Dorothy Fountain of Iowa City; one son, Thomas of West Branch; five grandchildren; five brothers, Clifford of Edna, Texas, Marion of Iowa City, Enos of Lucerne, and Robert and Harold both of Cedar Rapids; and one sister, Mrs Iona Sargent of Coggen.
