Mary Parizek Kral

Mrs Mary (Parizek) Kral was born in Bohemia in the year 1842, and died in the University Hospital at Iowa City on April 20, 1911, at 69 years of age.

When about twenty-five years old she, with her parents and family came to America and settled in Johnson County. Since then she has always resided in this county. In later years she with her husband and family removed to farm a few miles northwest of Lone Tree where they lived until they moved to Lone Tree about two years ago.

She was united in marriage to John Kral on the 22nd of February, 1870. To this union eight children were born seven sons and one daughter. Four of the sons preceded the mother to the world of rewards.

In early life she was confirmed in the Catholic faith, in which faith she lived her days upon earth. For many years she endured great sufferings and afflictions. To her death came as a sweet release. She leaves to mourn her death the husband, her three sons and one daughter, besides many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service was held at the Reformed church on Saturday afternoon at one o'clock. Rev J F Hawk and Rev D Phillips officiated. The body was given its final resting place in the Lone Tree Cemetery.

The family and relatives have the sympathy of their many friends.
