Phyllis R. Jadryev, 63, of 60 Denbigh Drive, died Sunday, August 3, 2003 at Mercy Hospital following a short illness.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 3, 2003 at 11AM at Agudas Achim with Rabbi Jeffrey Portman officiating. Burial will be in Agudas Achim Cemetery. Phyllis was born July 30, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Jacob and Blanche
Raffie Stipelman. She married John Jadryev on September 26, 1968, in St. Louis.

Phyllis received a BA degree in Art from Lewis University and a BS Degree in computer science from the University of Iowa. She was employed at ACT as a software engineer and prior to that she was a programming analyst for ten years in the Department of Anesthesiology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

She was a member of Agudas Achim and the Agudas Achim Sisterhood, Iowa City Orchid Club, Old Capitol Sertoma and the Hancher Guild. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Joseph.

She is survived by her husband, John of Iowa City; her daughter, Marcy Jadryev and her fiancé Scott McLimans of Madison, Wisconsin; one grandson, Joseph Jadryev; her mother, Blanche, and her sister, Sonya Cohen, both of Los Angeles; one niece, Susan Cohen Osser, and one nephew, Byron Cohen, both of Los Angeles.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her father.
