Lois Ann “Peachy” Duffy, 62, of 425 N. Dubuque Street #18, North Liberty, died Friday morning, July 25, 2003, at her home following a long battle with cancer.

Graveside services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2003, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Tiffin, with the Reverend Marlene Janssen, officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Monday at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a general fund in her name.

Lois was born on June 9, 1941, in Garrison, North Dakota, the daughter of Anton and Bernice (Retterath) Kastner. The family later moved to Coralville where Lois attended Coralville Central Elementary School. She graduated from University High School in Iowa City in 1959 and Paris Academy of Beauty and Culture in Cedar Rapids in 1960. On March 5, 1962, she was united in marriage to Wayne Duffy of Iowa City. The couple later divorced. Peachy was a beautician for over 40 years until her illness forced her to retire. She was not only a good beautician, but a friend and confidant.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Janene Duffy of Coralville, and Janette Duffy of North Liberty; her mother, Bernice Kastner of Coralville; a sister, Virginia Brenneman of Oxford; grandchildren, Breyanne, James, and Dalton; a great-grandchild, Taeshauna Ann Marie; and many loving nieces and nephews.
