Richard B. Moore, 65, passed away Monday morning, July 14, 2003, at his home. He was surrounded by love and departed in peace.

Memorial Services will be Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at 6PM at Lensing’s Oak Hill Funeral Service, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville, where the family will greet friends after 5PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society-Research, 4080 1st Avenue NE, Suite 101, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402 or American Legion Post #721, Box 5553, Coralville, Iowa 52241.

Dick was born October 16, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Robert and Martha Burford Moore II.

Dick was raised in Los Angeles and served in the US Navy. He moved to the Coralville/Iowa City area in 1965 and was a sheet metal worker at the University of Iowa Physical Plant for over 25 years.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #721in Coralville. Dick was a local artist who enjoyed painting, sculpting, collecting antiques, and repairing old clocks. He was a skilled metal worker and craftsman.

Dick is survived by his four daughters, Jessica Harris and her husband, Michael of Eugene, Oregon, Dulcey Rote and her husband, Ted of Iowa City, Angela Nelson and her husband James of Bettendorf, Iowa, Kim Moore of Los Angeles, California; Seven grandchildren including; Dylan, Hailey and Owen Rote, and Chloe and Lauren Nelson
His brother; Robert Moore and his wife Cory of Littleton, Colorado; and His former wife; Beverly Moore of Iowa City.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dee Moore.
