Margaret M. Killgore, 80, of 821 Walnut Street in Iowa City, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Iowa City Health Care & Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.

Services will be held Saturday at 11:30 am at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City with Reverend Bill Black officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30am until service time on Saturday. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Foursquare Gospel Church or Iowa City Health Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Margaret was born October 29, 1922 in Otisville, Michigan, the daughter of Frank & Mae (Crittenden) Minard. Margaret married Dayton McCaslin in Michigan in1949. Mr McCaslin died in 1958. In 1960 in Royal Oak, Michigan, Margaret married Willie Killgore. Mr. Killgore died in 1976.

She lived in Royal Oak, Michigan, operating Killgore’s Grocery & Candy Store for many years. Margaret moved to Iowa City in 1989. She was a homemaker and was a very devoted member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Iowa City.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Kenneth McCaslin & his wife Darlene of Elgin, Illinois and Reverend Richard C. McCaslin & his wife Becky of Iowa City; five grandchildren, Ryan, Kristen, Erin, Alex & Tim and one great granddaughter.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
