MRS. KESSLER DIES TODAY

Rites Set Tuesday For Resident of Iowa City, 51

Mrs. Helen Kessler, 51, of 1207 Kirkwood avenue, a resident of Iowa City for about 30 years, died at 1:22 a.m. today at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.

Born December 14, 1902, at Lone Tree, she was a daughter of Frank M. and Nettie Patton. She attended Lone Tree public schools. She married Francis D. Kessler in 1923. The couple established their home in Iowa City shortly after their marriage.

Surviving besides her husband are two sisters, Mrs. Jack Richards of Rock Island, Ill., and Mrs. Clodean Long of Dakota City, Iowa, and four brothers, George Patton of Greeley, Colo., Orion Patton of Humboldt, Dillon Patton of Eagle Grove and Morris Patton of Ft. Dodge.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Oathout Funeral chapel.
