Romola Eldeen, 82

Romola T. Eldeen, 82, formerly of North Liberty, died Thursday at Iowa Masonic Nursing Home in Bettendorf of a long illness.

Eastern Star funeral services will be a t 1 p.m. Tuesday at George L. Gay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. A general memorial was established.

Mrs. Eldeen was born Sept. 26, 1910, in Iowa City, to Charles and Lola Kessler Reisland. She attended Iowa City schools. She was a billings clerk at University of Iowa Hospital Otolaryngology Clinic for more than 25 years. She retired in 1981. She married Emil W. Eldeen Dec 23, 1933, in Cedar Rapids. She previously lived at Liberty Square in North Liberty and Lantern Park Care Center in Coralville. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matron, Eagles Auxiliary, Rainbow Girls and White Shrine.

Survivors include one son, Jon of North Liberty; three grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.

Her parents, husband and one brother died earlier.
