Betty Grimm Carlson, 93, formerly of Walden Place, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Crestview Care Center in West Branch.

Betty was born May 9, 1917 in Hoboken, New Jersey, the daughter of Harry H. and Margaret (Wulf) Finkeldie. Growing up in Hoboken, Betty married Richard Grimm May 9, 1942 in Hoboken. Mr. Grimm died in 1960. On April 19, 1963, Betty married Elmer Carlson in Hoboken. Mr. Carlson died in 1971.

Betty worked for the Maxwell House division of General Foods as an accounting clerk. She retired in 1972. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and the Reform Church in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Survivors include her daughters, Betty White (J. Patrick) of Iowa City and Margaret Grimm of Hoboken, New Jersey; two granddaughters, Jennifer White Andrews (Rod) of Mahopac, New York and Meghann Puffer (Aaron) of Altoona, Iowa; two great-grandsons, Patrick Puffer and Kendrick Puffer.

Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Richard Grimm and four brothers
