Donna A. Boyle, 72, of 2413 Walden Court in Iowa City, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 following
complications of a stroke.

Donna was born December 12, 1937 in Iowa City, the daughter of John and Geneva (Gough) Dee. Growing up in Iowa City, Donna graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing in 1958. She worked as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital until 1962. Donna married Daniel Boyle August 25, 1962 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City. She then worked in the dental clinic at the University of Iowa. Taking time off to raise her family, Donna returned to work in 1989 in
pre-surgery at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, retiring in 2006.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband Daniel; her children, Sara Eckland (Kevin Keeling) of Bettendorf, Jennifer Boyle of New York City and Sean Boyle of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Eckland, Megan Eckland, Paige Eckland and Grace Eckland and a sister Mary Kelly (Richard) of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospital for their care given to Donna.
