Louis Earl Applewhite, 46 of Coralville, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri after a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be Friday Morning at Ted Foster & Son Funeral Home, Chapel North, 10192 Halls Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri. Burial will be in Lake Charles Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Louis Earl Applewhite memorial fund. Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service is handling local arrangements.

Louis was born August 23, 1956, the son of Frank Applewhite, Sr. and Earline Nervis Applewhite. On September 27, 1986, he was united in marriage to Emily Diane Johnson, the couple was married in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked as a machine operator for Mid American Fiber Co. and for Serta Mattress Co. Louis served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War.

Survivors include: His wife, Emily Applewhite of Coralville, Iowa; three sons, Louis Earl Applewhite, Jr. and Jason Darnel Applewhite both of St. Louis, Missouri, Nolan Applewhite of Coralville, Iowa. He is also survived by two sisters; Pastor Sylvia Boyer of Coralville, Iowa, Bernadine Franks-Stockstell of Iowa City, Iowa and by two brothers; Eric Applewhite of St. Louis, Missouri and by Frank Applewhite of Fairbault, Minnesota.

His parents preceded him in death.
