Thomas Kessler

SOLON -- Thomas J. Kessler, 75, died Thursday at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Brosh Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church in Solon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation has begun at the funeral home, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today.

Mr. Kessler was born May 5, 1902, near Solon, and farmed all his adult life in the vicinity.

Survivors include three sisters, Alice, of Solon, Marie, of Iowa City, and Mrs. William Costolo, of Coralville; four brothers, Michael, of Davenport, William and Morris, of Solon, and Edward, of Iowa City; and several nieces and nephews.
