WEST BRANCH -- Mrs. Ceclia Kessler, 73, of Route 2, West Branch, died Wednesday at her home following a short illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Brosh Funeral Home in Solon, and at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bridget's Catholic Church near Solon, with the Rev. George Bachman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Friday.

She was born Sept. 17, 1902, near Solon, to Joseph and Anton Jicha Moravek. On Feb. 18, 1925, she married John Kessler. The couple farmed in the West Branch area for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Kessler was a member of St. Bridget's Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Linnell, of Oxford, and Mrs. Don (Darlene) Klouda, of Solon; three sons, Clarence, of Cedar Rapids, Melvin, of Solon and Eugene, of West Branch; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Milo Moravek, of Solon.
