Leo F. Kessler

SOLON -- Leo F. Kessler, 81, of Solon, died at his home Friday.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Brosh Funeral Home in Solon, with the Rev. A.T. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Solon. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday.

He was born July 22, 1888, in Solon, son of Jacob and Mary Bartosh Kessler. He married to Emma Cerney on Oct. 11, 1911.

From 1916 to 1946 he operated the Chevrolet garage in Solon and after that a sporting goods store until his retirement.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Stransky and Mrs. William Wooff, both of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren; five brothers, John and Henry of Solon, Andrew of North Liberty, Everett of Walker and Robert of Whittier, Calif., and two sisters, Anna Kasper of Iowa City and Mary Connelly of Marshall, Mich.
