Leo Miller, 74

Services for Leo Miller will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with burial I Memory Gardens Cemetery. Leo S. Miller, 74, of 300 Bon Aire Mobile Home Lodge, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the George L. Gay Funeral Home, where a parish scripture service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church or the Leo Miller Memorial Fund.

Mr. Miller was born March 4, 1918, in Iowa City, son of Gus and Gertrude Strub Miller. He married Mary Ann Gosenberg Dec. 29, 1951, in Iowa City. He graduated from St. Patrick School and lived in the Iowa City area his entire life. He was a cook at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for many years, then worked as a postal carrier for 30 years, retiring in 1981. After retirement, he worked at Payless Cashways and Clark's Carpet. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Moose Lodge, American Legion, VFW and the National Association of Letter Carriers. Survivors include his wife Mary; two brothers, Robert "Bud" and Perry, both of Iowa City; two sisters, Dorothy Alberhasky and Lucille Cooney, both of Iowa City; 10 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

His parents and one brother died earlier.
