Virginia Lee Seaton, 73, of 913 Willow Street and formerly of West Branch, died Monday August 2, 2004 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.

Funeral Services to celebrate Virginia’s life will be at 10:00 am, Thursday August 5, 2004 at Lensings Funeral & Cremation Service. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7PM at the funeral home. A reception will be held at the Eagles following the committal service. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.

Virginia was born January 2, 1931 in Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of Alvin and Annie Miller Klinkkammer. She married William Seaton on March 17, 1950 at the First Methodist Church in Iowa City. He died November 1, 1991.

She was a graduate of West Liberty High School. She had lived in West Branch for many years until moving to Autumn Park Apartments in Iowa City.

Virginia was employed at the University of Iowa, where she worked in food service at Burge Hall. She retired in 1992. Virginia also worked in housekeeping Crestview Care Center in West Branch.

Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially the ladies at Autumn Park with whom she socialized and cared for. She collected Beanie Babies, loved to read, and never missed her daily soap opera, “The Days of Our Lives.”

Virginia is survived by her three children: Pamella Seaton-Berkenpas and her husband Robert of Downey and their children Andy Berkenpas and Molly Kucera, Jeffrey (Ginny) Seaton of West Branch and their children Melissa Poe and Stacey Seaton, Debra (Alex) Gomez of Ft. Madison and her son Justin Britton; one great granddaughter, Emily; one brother, Ronnie (Carol) Klinkkammer and one sister, Velva Zousel, both of West Branch, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons Daniel and Jerry Seaton, one brother Raymond, one sister Viola Wilcox.
