Lambert T. Struzynski, 78, of 1768 250th Street NW, rural Oxford, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at his home following a battle with cancer.

Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Church or the Lambert Struzynski Memorial Fund. Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City is in charge of arrangements.

Lambert was born October 21, 1926 in rural Oxford, Iowa, the son of Felix and Martha Wisnousky Struzynski. Lambert married Alice Becker on May 21, 1951 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Watkins. Lambert and his brother Ivan farmed for many years in rural Oxford.

He was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Church and served on the St. Mary’s Cemetery Board He was a fifty five year member of Oxford American Legion Post #537, a charter member of the NFO (1959), and the Johnson Cattlemen’s Association.

Survivors include his five children, Mike (Julie) Struzynski and Bert (Ellen) Struzynski of Oxford, Patsy (Pat) Zimmerman of Coralville, Susie (Andy) Cooper of North Liberty, Donna (Kevin) Puls of Tipton; ten grandchildren; one brother, Ivan (Mary) Struzynski of North Liberty.

Lambert was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Alice.
