Joan Gebert, 77, 2018 Waterfront Dr. died at UIHC Friday following a lengthy illness.

Joan was born January 27, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York. On August 14, 1957 she married Leon Gebert. He died in 1992.

Joan had been employed at UIHC as a secretary in the neo-natal nursery, and later in the supply control department.

She is survived by her son, Charles of Iowa City.

Her husband and sister preceded her in death.
