Dorothy E. Herman, 83, formerly of Mt. Prospect, Illinois died Sunday, December 25, 2005 at Iowa City Rehabilitation and Care Center in Iowa City following a lengthy illness.

Dorothy was born on July 28, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Thomas Hogan and Catherine Graney Hogan. She married Theodore Herman on August 20, 1949. Dorothy was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to her husband and three sons.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Ronald (Jann Ream) of Iowa City and Richard (Cathy) and their daughter Melissa of Trevor, WI; sister Virginia Korzenowski, nephew Edward Zenkel and brother Phillip Sherlock, all of Chicago, IL.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Theodore in 1981 and her son Robert in 2005.
