Antonia “Toni” LaCroix, 74, of 38 BonAire, Iowa City died Saturday March 24th, 2007 at Mercy Hospital of Iowa City following a sudden illness.

Toni was born on July 3rd, 1932 in Wattenberg, Colorado, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Tarin) Avina. She graduated from Ft. Lupton High School in Ft. Lupton Colorado in 1950. Toni worked for the Glass Menagerie in New York as a glass craftsman, and later worked for United Technologies Automotive (Lear Corporation) until she retired in 1996.

Toni enjoyed cooking and crafts. Her Stained Glass and embroidery are family treasures. Her mexican meals will be missed. She cherished time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. She was truly a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her special friend Dale Phillips of Iowa City, one daughter Linda (Albert) Andersen of South English, two sons Ariel LaCroix of Florida and Christopher (Mindy) LaCroix of Ohio, one brother, four sisters, one brother-in -law, a son-in-law Sean (Gailia) Garland of Ainsworth, IA, 10 grandchildren, three Great-Grandchildren and a very special Meyers Parrot named Babe.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and one son.
