Wendelyn W. “Wendy” Bailey, 89, formerly of Iowa City, died Monday July 9, 2007 at the Solon Nursing Care Center.

Wendy was born on April 10, 1918 in Nevada, IA to Milan and Clarissa (Harter) Warner. She married Richard Bailey on February 28 at the Chapel of Roses in San Diego, CA.

Wendy enjoyed playing Bridge and Poker with friends and traveling with her husband. She was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital for twenty-five years.

Wendy is survived by her special friends Peg Witmer of Tipton, IA, Pat Wells of Coralville, Ann Fedderson of North Liberty and Helen Simmons of Iowa City.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister Dorothy.
