Marsha Ann Baxter, 48, of Clarence, Iowa passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Marsha was born April 3, 1959 to Maxwell Beavers and Mary Ann (Rachels) Elliott in Knoxville, Iowa.

Marsha married John Baxter of Burlington, Iowa on June 1, 1979 at Kent Park. They have four children. She was the owner of Marsha’s Janitorial in Coralville, which provided many jobs for people in the area. She was a lifetime resident of the Iowa City area.

Surviving Marsha are her husband, John Baxter, daughter Rachel Baxter of Clarence, IA, three sons, Justin (Josefina) Baxter of Oxford and their two sons Justice and Jakobi, Jacob Baxter (Veronica) and their daughter Alexis of Clarence, and Joe (Tessa) Baxter of Tipton. Also left to honor Marsha’s memory are her parents Mary and Ray Ellliott of Willamson, Max and Betty Beavers of Colfax, sisters Charlet (Larry) Daft of Colfax, Jean (Bill) Quinlan of Oxford, brother Terry (Mary) Rachels of Knoxville. She also had many nieces and nephews. The thousands of people she touched and so unselfishly helped in life will remember her. Marsha was a loving mother.

Her father Edward Rachels, sisters Rita and Lisa Rachels and her maternal and paternal grandparents preceded Marsha in death.
