Anna M. Shrader, 98, formerly of 1205 E. Jefferson Street in Iowa City, died peacefully Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Iowa City Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

Anna was born July 26, 1909 in Lone Tree, Iowa, the daughter of Amiel & Kathryn (Kohout) Parizek.
Anna has been a resident of Iowa City since 1925, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City and also of St. Mary’s Altar & Rosary Society. She married Elias J. Shrader October 18, 1927 in Solon.

After their wedding, Elias and Anna settled in Iowa City and had two sons, Howard & Bob.
For many years, Anna worked at the Quadrangle Cafeteria at the University of Iowa.

Anna will be remembered for her baking, candy making and excellent Bohemian delicacies. She enjoyed playing cards and socializing with friends.

Survivors include her grandchildren & their families,
Daniel Shrader (Mary) of Wayzata, Minnesota, their children, Jonathan, Evan and Nate;
Cheryl Shrader-Bogen (Jon) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, their children Christopher and Ellen;
Bradley Shrader (Stacy) of Shakopee, Minnesota, their children Jessica and Luke;
Robert Shrader of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota and his children Kelsey and Erica.;

a daughter in law, Caryl Shrader of Las Vegas and a sister in law, Dorothy Parizek of Lone Tree; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and four grandchildren, Guy, Steven, Cindy and Kim.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to a charity of choice or The Anna Shrader Memorial Fund.
