Richard M. Crawford, 74, of 2100 S. Scott Blvd #105, died Thursday September 13, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Richard was born on August 27, 1933 in Iowa City to Harrison and Ella Mae (Mrstik) Crawford. He married Sondra Wilson on June 12, 1961 in Iowa City. Richard worked for the UIHC in the kitchen and as a custodian for the Iowa City Community Schools.

He enjoyed NASCAR Auto Racing; the VA mixed bowling league, the New York Yankees and was a big Iowa Hawkeye’s fan.

Richard is survived by his wife Sondra of Iowa City, two children; Jeff of Iowa City and Judy McNair of Virginia Beach, VA, two grandchildren; Giles and Cari McNair, two brothers; Robert Crawford of Iowa City and Duane Crawford of N. Liberty, three sisters; Delores and Betty Crawford of Iowa City and Dorothy McFarland (Johnny) of Melbourne, FL, five nephews; Mike, Larry, Craig, Scott Crawford and David McFarland.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Donnie, Ron, Russell and a sister Arlene.
