Dallas DeVon Martin, age 3 months, slept away peacefully but unexpectedly on Thursday, July 24, 2008 in his home in Iowa City.

Dallas was born April 17, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Survivors include his parents, Erica Lewis and Gregory Martin of Iowa City; his sister, India Martin at home; maternal grandparents, Kimberly Lewis Jones (Arthur Jones) of Lansing, Illinois and D’Arcy (Pamela) Kent of South Holland, Illinois and paternal grandparents, Lynda Dickerson (Terry) of Iowa City; maternal great-grandparents, Rose Taylor (Leroy) of Homewood, Illinois; his aunts, Kristin Jones of Munster, Indiana, his Godmother and aunt, Terilise Lawrence of LaFayette, Indiana, Garrah Kent, Courtney Kent and Dejah Kent, all of South Holland, Kyla Jones of Lansing, and his uncle, Damien Kent, of South Holland.

His paternal great-grandparents, Lynda and Russell Taylor preceded him in death.
