Deepak Mysore, 43, of 34 Camborne Circle died Thursday, February 7, 2003, at his home following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday morning at 11AM at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville. Friends may greet the family after 10 AM. A memorial fund has been established.

Deepak was born December 7, 1959, in Belgaum, Karnataka, India. He was the son of Sundara Raja Iyengar and Rajalakshmi Mysore. He married Sri Devi Deepak on April 20, 1986, in Hyderabad, India.

He received his M.A. with Economic Honors from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science and his Ph.D. from the University of Florida. Prior to moving to Iowa City in 2000, he resided in Washington D.C. , where he was employed with the Economic Research Service for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Presently he was a student in statistics at the University of Iowa.

Deepak was a gentle, loving person who loved people and whom people loved. He enjoyed writing poetry, reading, music, jogging, yoga, meditation, and playing his flute.

He is survived by his wife, Sri Devi; Two Brothers, Srinivas Raghavan MS of Bombay, India, and Vidyasagar MS of Calcutta, India; Two Sisters, Suhasini Murali of Curacao, and Anuradha MS of Bangalore, India.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
