Paul “Wayne” Hein, 73, formerly of Iowa City, died Wednesday, August 28, 2008 at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa following a long illness.

Wayne was born December 18, 1934 in Iowa City, the son of Paul Sr. and Theresa (VeDepo) Hein. For over 11 years, he worked as a clerk for Lawson’s Fine Food and later was employed by Mercy Hospital. Throughout his life, Wayne’s true passions were gardening and painting.

Wayne is survived by his sister Helen Falada of Kalona and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers Leo, Robert and Kenneth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
