Donald W. Wiggins, 66, of 325 Hickory Street, North Liberty, IA, died Thursday August 28, 2008 following a brief illness. Friends may call at the house.

Don was born on February 14, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was raised in Marion, IA and moved to North Liberty in 1962. He married Marla Cook on June 29, 1963 and their son was born in 1964.

Don worked for the Iowa DOT for 16 years and then went to do his dream of driving semis. When that company shut down he went to the U of I as a heavy equipment operator and retired from there after 17 years. The last few years he drove truck for Lure’s Trucking.

He is survived by his wife and son and a nephew Robert.
