Tamra J. “Tammy” Salm, 44, of 1422 Keokuk Street in Iowa City, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics after a long illness.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City.
A Wake Service will begin at 3:00 pm Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 Friday at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in West Branch with Reverend Dennis Martin officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Tammy J. Salm Memorial Fund.

Tammy was born July 9, 1964 in Iowa City, the daughter of Tom and Marcy (Driscoll) Budreau.
Graduating from West Branch High School in 1982, Tammy later received a double major from the University of Iowa in elementary education and mathematics. She worked at the Hy-Vee Food Store
on N. 1st Avenue in Iowa City after high school and during college. She then worked in daycare in both West Branch and Iowa City. Tammy married Jeff Salm on October 17, 1992 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church near Solon, Iowa. For the past 18 years, Tammy has worked for the City of Iowa City in the administrative office of the streets and sanitation department.

Survivors include her husband Jeff;
her parents, Tom and Marcy Budreau of West Branch;
brothers, Tim Budreau (Mary) of Deer Park, Illinois and Troy Budreau (Amy) of West Branch;
father and mother in law, August and Phyllis Salm of Iowa City;
sisters and brothers in law, Diana (Tary) Werts of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Jean (Bill) Cooney of Denver, Colorado and Shirley (Doug) Herdliska of Iowa City; Thomas (Janice) Salm of North Liberty, Terry (Ellen) Salm of Vero Beach, Florida and Randy (Denise) Salm of Iowa City;
and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
