COSGROVE -- Mrs. James P. (Margaret) Kinney, 71, of Cosgrove, died at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Tuesday after a lengthy illness.

Requiem high mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church at Cosgrove. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. The rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 8 p.m. at the Donohue Mortuary in Iowa City, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.

Mrs. Kinney was born at Holbrook, Aug. 16, 1898, daughter of M.H. and Mary Spratt Donohoe. She was married to James P. Kinney at St. Michael's Church, Holbrook, on Feb. 3, 1920.

She was a member of St. Peter's Church at Cosgrove, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Altar and Rosary Sciety of St. Peter's Church.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Jay of Oxford; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Gaffey of Holbrook; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter, a sister and a brother died earlier.
