Levi Fountain

David Fountain, a pioneer resident of Fremont township, passed away Wednesday morning at the home of his nephew, Levi Fountain, northwest of Lone Tree, with whom he has been making his home. He was 78 years of age.

Mr. Fountain was born in North Carolina, although most of his life has been spent in this
community. He has lived here for about seventy-five years, being among the early settlers of this
section of Johnson county.

Funeral services will be held at the Levi Fountain home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. David Phillips, pastor of the M. E. chruch at Riverside. Burial will be made in the Fountain cemetery near there.
