DEATH OF MICHAEL KINNEY.
Prominent Farmer of Johnson County Goes to His Reward.

Michael Kinney died Monday at 9 a.m. at his home south of Oxford at the age of 63 after a short illness. Death was unexpected as the deceased had only been ill a few days and was not considered in a serious condition.

Deceased is survived by six sons, two daughters, two brothers and three sisters. The sons are John, Edward and Francis of Oxford and vicinity, and Raymond and Joseph of Sharon, while another son, William, lives in Kansas. The two daughters are Mrs. James Currey of Oxford and Margaret who made her home with her father. The brothers are Richard, whose home is in Montana, and Edward of Iowa City. The three sisters are Mrs. John Kelly and Mrs. B. Donohoe, of Oxford, and Mrs. James Sullivan of Iowa City.

Mr. Kinney was born and raised in this county and spent most of his life in the vicinity of his late home. He was a man of good heart and respected by the entire community.

Funeral services were held at the St. Mary's church, Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m. Interment at Mt. Calvary. Oxford Leader.
