MRS CORA FOUNTAIN IS BURIED SUNDAY IN FAMILY CEMETERY

Mrs. Cora Fountain, 69, a former resident of this county, passed away suddenly last Tuesday at the home of her son, Earl Fountain, near Becker, Minn.

Mr. and Mrs. Fountain lived in this community for many years, moving in 1912 to northern Iowa and later to Minnesota. Mr. Fountain passed away in 1929. Mrs. Fountain had been visiting relatives in this community and in Iowa City since last May, and had returned to Minnesota only aobut a week before her death.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Hamacher and Mrs. Alice Murphy, both of Flint, Mich. and Mrs. Vera Culbertson of Wells, Minn.: her son, Earl; six sisters, Mrs. Anna Fountain, Mrs. Minnie Miller, and Mrs. Goldie Haney, all of Iowa City, Mrs. Iona McGuigan of Oskaloosa, Mrs. Ada Smith of Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. Orpha Memler of Cedar Rapids; four brothers, Will Cox, Clint Cox and George Cox all of Hills, and Arleigh Cox of Iowa City.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Oathoust Funeral home in Iowa City and burial was in the Fountain family Cemetery Northwest of Lone Tree.
