Services:Memorial Services will be held at 11 am, Monday, January 5, 2008 at the Coralville United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Williams officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Coralville American Legion.
Visitation:The family will greet friends Saturday, January 3rd from 2 to 4pm at Lensing’s Oak Hill Coralville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Church, the Crisis Center or Iowa City Hospice.
Bill L. Dinsmore, 76, of 1705 Oak Lake Park Rd. died Tuesday, December 30, 2008
at his home following a brief illness.
Bill was born March 26, 1932 in Coralville, the son of Gordon and Ethel Douglass Dinsmore. He was a 1950 graduate of University High School in Iowa City, and proudly served in the US Navy. On November 3, 1967 he married Karen Oldham in Iowa City.

Bill owned and operated Coral Optical, which was located on 5th St in Coralville. He retired in the late 1980’s, but remained active in the community which included being a volunteer firefighter for Coralville. Bill especially treasured his friendships and longtime involvement with the Coralville American Legion, where he was a lifetime member. He loved to hunt and fish.

Bill is survived by his wife Karen and their two children, David Dinsmore of Houston, TX and Ann Maddox of Spring, TX; two grandchildren, Ryley and Taylor Maddox;
and his sisters-in-law, Jane Dinsmore and Dixie Jarboe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles.
