Iowa City Press Citizen June 26, 1979 p. 2A Thomas M. Connell, 64, a native of Iowa City, died June 20 in Mission, Texas, where he had been a long-time resident. Burial was in Texas. Mr. Connell was a master plumber. He was a verteran of World War II and a member of the McAllen Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Juanita Connell; four sons, Ron of the Bahama Islands, Terry, Tom and Tim, all of Mission; four brothers, Joe and Bill of Iowa City, James of Clearlake, Iowa and Robert of Reno, Nev.; one sister, Mrs. Carroll Johnson of Clinton; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
