Edward Strub

Edward A. Strub, 82, a former resident of Iowa City, died Sunday in a Clinton hospital after a long illness.

Masonic services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith and Snell Funeral Home in Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Memorial Park.

Mr. Strub was born Sept. 25, 1886, in Newport Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Strub. On Nov. 24, 1951 he married Veva Steffensen in West Liberty. He was founder of the Strub Brothers Machine Shop here. Mr. Strub was a 50 year member of the Iowa City Masonic Lodge No. 4 AF and AM and Kaaba Shrine of Davenport.

Survivors are his widow; two brothers, Charles of Iowa City and Frank of Lake MacBride and several cousins.
