Passed to His Reward
William Woodruff, aged 81 years passed peacefully to his reward yesterday morning, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P.F. [Mary] Brockway in Ridgway [Colorado]. He had lived a long and useful life and enjoyed the friendship and high esteem of all with whom he came in contact. Death was due to heart failure and, when summoned he was ready to go. By his pure and upright life the grave was robbed of its terrors and death its sting, a smile of sweet peace being expressed in his feature after he had closed his eyes in death.

Five children survive him, of whom two, C. T. [Comely] Woodruff and Mrs. P. F. Brockway live at Ridgway. With them he came to spend the remainder of his days about 3 years ago coming direct from the old home in Iowa. The funeral services will take place today and interment will be in Dallas Park Cemetery.
