MARCH 25, 1905

Mrs. Ruth Magruder, aged widow of James Magruder, is dead at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martha Barton Nelson near River Junction. [March 21, 1905] She had resided here almost 70 years continuously and was one of the very finest white women to live in Iowa. She was born on May 6, 1838. [This is incorrect. According to her tombstone, she was born on September 10, 1821] Two sons, James and George and one daughter, Mrs. Nelson survive. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stover. [Her mother was Esther Yount]
