Paul William Beecher, 72, of 703 Iowa Ave, died Sat at Mercy Hospital after a short illness.
Services will begin at 10 am Tues at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City, with burial in Mt. Calvary Cem in Oxford.
Visitation will be from 2 - 6 pm today at Donohue-lensing Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 4 pm.
Br. Beecher was born 4 June 1917, in rural Oxford, son of William and Kathryn (O'Donnell) Beecher. He worked at Capitol Implement Co., for many years as a mechanic. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he was an usher.
He is survived by his mother of Hills, and one sister, Marian (Mrs. William) Holland of Hills.
