Jeremy Ryan Francis Brenneman, 23, of Iowa City died Sunday, July 6, 2008, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

A funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday July 11, 2008 at the River Community Church in Iowa City with the Reverend Craig Holmes officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery of Iowa City. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 9p.m. at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund has been established for Jeremy's son Quentin Patrick. Jeremy was born April 14, 1985 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Pat and Dawn (Seydel) Brenneman. He attended Iowa City High School and graduated in 2003. While in High School Jeremy had no fear of showing his school spirit, he was involved with many activities show choir, the drama department, he was City High's first male cheerleader, he also had a hand in redesigning City High's mascot Louie the Little Hawk after Louie was recreated Jeremy was the first to be Louie for football and basketball games. After High School Jeremy worked for the Iowa City Community School District during the school year as a Para Educator, and helped his father Pat with their family business Brenneman Quality Painting in the summer. On March 27 Jeremy enlisted in the National Guard he was a member of HQ 2/34th BTSB attached to company C RSP in Fairfield, Iowa. He was very proud to be a member and was looking forward to basic training.

Jeremy was an avid music lover who loved art. He enjoyed being a part of Promise Keepers. He had many sports teams he loved to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals, Denver Bronco's, and the beloved Iowa Hawkeye's.

He was was an outgoing guy with many friends who he loved, a stranger was a friend he had not met. But above all Jeremy loved his family, who he cared for deeply.

Jeremy's family includes son Quentin Patrick Brenneman of Iowa City; his fiancé Christina Chalhoub(Brenneman) of Iowa City; parents Pat and Dawn Brenneman of Iowa City; Ashley Brenneman of Palmyra, TN; Bryanna Brenneman of Mt Pleasant, Iowa; Bryce Brenneman of Iowa City and many loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ruby and Earl Seydel, and Dorothy and Delmar Brenneman.
