Services for Mrs. Hitchcock Will Be Sunday

Private funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Ira J. Houston of the Congregational church for Mrs. George A. Hitchcock, whose death occurred Thursday morning. Burial will be in the Brick chapel cemetery.

Mrs. Hitchcock who had lived in and near Iowa City for the past 50 years, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Lincoln of Scott township, the former, according to family tradition, being a relative of Abraham Lincoln. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Rose Larson of West Branch.

She leaves her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Ralph Brubaker and Mrs. Joseph H. Brown, Iowa City; Mrs. Elling Veblen, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Angier Cleaves, Yarmouth, Me.; and one son Edwin T. Hitchcock, Huntington Park, Cal.
