Charles Bollei Called By Death

Charles Bollei, a brother of Officer John Bollei of the Iowa City police force died at a local hospital Monday after an illness which extended from January last.

The remains were laid to rest in Oakland cemetery this afternoon after services at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. J. Strub at 2:30.

Mr. Bollei was born in this city forty-two years ago, where he had lived all of his life. He was a prominent member of the Eagles and possessed a wide acquaintance throughout the community. He had been employed at the Mississippi Valley Rubber Company. Many friends will learn with sorrow of his death.

Surviving are his brother John, and four sisters: Mrs. J. A. Strub, Mrs. Elmer Parrott, Lorimer, Ia., Mrs. Charles H. Merifield, Golden, Colo., and Mrs. George Hess, Iowa City.
